Will exercise help improve my mood?

Exercise can greatly boost one's mood and morale. From a chemical standpoint, when exercise is induced the brain releases endorphin's into the blood stream to help alleviate pain and facilitate peak performance. These chemical secretions cause a euphoric feeling throughout the body post-exercise. Many gym-goers and regular exercisers understand and greatly appreciate this feeling; it is actually most commonly known in the aerobics world as the "runners high". Next time you begin a workout, remember the possible effects you could be achieving and make sure to exercise at your maximal capacity, this should have you feeling great as you leave your gym. –Andy
Exercise has many health benefits. Improving your mood is just one of them. Physical activity stimulates various brain chemicals that may leave you feeling happier and more relaxed.
