Lighten Up Lasagna! Did you know that July 29th is National Lasagna Day? Lasagna can actually be remade into a healthy and delicious low calorie dinner option. Here are 5 tips for lightening up this family favorite: 1. Use whole wheat noodles 2. Add in vegetables such as eggplant or spinach 3. Substitute lighter turkey or chicken sausage (if you use sausage) 4. Use part skim mozzarella cheese 5. Go heavy on the sauce and light on the cheese.
