Eat Figs! Did you know that November 1st through 7th is National Fig Week? Figs are a deliciously sweet and nutritious fruit that is often overlooked in the American diet. Figs contain the highest amount of calcium of any fruit and are a virtual fiber and antioxidant bonanza. Generally you will find figs in their dried form but occasionally you can get lucky and find fresh figs.
