Chin ups workout benefit: The goal of this exercise is to strengthen the back and arms. Lats are the primary movers in the exercise, followed by the biceps and forearms.

How to do a chin up correctly: Gripping the bar overhand or underhand, roll the shoulders back, engaging the back muscles and pull the chin slightly over the bar. Return in a controlled manner to the starting position.
