Oatmeal (1 Cup): 3g Fat, 27g Carbs, 6g Protein

Cod (3 oz): 0.5g Fat, 0g Carbs, 15g Protein

Can honestly say, I don’t think many people have made a meal out of the two of these, however, we find ourselves again with a Carb vs Protein match up. Cod is an extremely lean cut of Protein, Oatmeal is just so strong, not only is it one of the better Carbs one can have but it also can lower cholesterol levels, reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, help prevent heart failure, enhance the immune response against infections, and substantially lower the risk of type II diabetes. Oatmeal is almost like eating a workout, lol. It is just great on every level.

Cod is no slouch, as it can help prevent issues with the heart (fight against heart attacks and fatal heart arrhythmia). Cod is as close to a perfect protein as it can get but in the same light, Oatmeal is about as great of a Carb as you can get. The multitude of benefits one can receive from eating Oatmeal is just greater than that of the benefits one can get from Cod and for that reason Oatmeal will continue on.
