May Client of the Month: Shuqi L.

Finding His Routine

Shuqi started training with us in May 2024, and from the beginning, he committed to showing up.

He trains three times per week:

  • 1 private session for a more personalized approach
  • 2 small group sessions to stay consistent and challenged

He also focused on more than just workouts.

Shuqi joined our Nutrition Together Program to work on his nutrition so he could lose weight and build muscle. He also joined our Recovery Program to help with his lower back pain.

Both have supported his workouts—helping him feel better, move better, and make progress.


Putting in the Work

Shuqi is someone who truly gives his all in every session.

He likes to be challenged.
He brings great energy!
And he shows up ready to work.

And it shows.

Since starting, Shuqi has:

  • Lost 11 lbs of body fat
  • Dropped 3 levels of visceral fat
  • Lost 13.5 inches overall
  • Gained lean muscle

He’s also improved his strength, stamina, and core strength in a big way.

Simply put—he’s strong.


Working Through Challenges

At one point, Shuqi was dealing with lower back pain.

Instead of ignoring it, he took action.

He joined our Stretch Therapy & Recovery Program, which helped reduce his pain and improve how his body feels day to day. Now, he continues with it once a month to stay ahead of it and keep feeling his best.


More Than Just Workouts

Shuqi has become a big part of the Fitness Together Burlington community.

He’s someone who:

  • Shows up consistently
  • Supports others
  • Brings great energy into every session

And he doesn’t shy away from a challenge.

He’s:

  • Completed a 5K with our community
  • Been part of our FT Olympics
  • And even held a 4:30 wall sit to win our April challenge (yes… 4 minutes and 30 seconds!)

Why Shuqi Inspires Us

Moving to a new place isn’t easy.

Starting a new routine isn’t easy either.

But Shuqi did both and stayed consistent.

He built a routine.
He found a community.
And he kept showing up.

That’s what makes his story so relatable.


Shuqi is proof that when you find the right environment and stay consistent, real change can happen.
