January Client of the Month... Sean O!

Sean began training with us in January 2024 when his wife, Melissa, introduced him. Joining us, Sean was quite active as a runner, but was looking to begin strength training. He knew that between honing in on his nutrition and building a consistent routine, he would also be able to progress towards his body composition goals.

Early on, Sean’s training consisted of foundational movements. He took to strength training quickly, and continued to challenge himself with more complicated movements, building full body strength and power. Over the last few months, his training has centered around barbell movements, where he has really been able to see impressive strength gains. Now, he’s now squatting more than his own bodyweight for reps. Along with this challenging new training style, he’s put extra focus on nutrition; adding protein, eating cleaner and cutting out temptations. Despite traveling often for work and bringing his kids to sports, he has been incredibly consistent at finding time to make it in for his two weekly workouts.

Since February 2025, Sean has shed 5 lbs. of body fat, while packing on 4 lbs. of muscle, for a 2.8% drop in body fat percentage! In the same time frame, he’s also dropped 1 level of visceral fat!

Sean is a fantastic example of how impactful consistency and accountability can be. Sean commits his 45-minute sessions to being challenged, and puts the same effort into his nutrition and lifestyle at home. We’re so grateful to have Sean as part of the FT Burlington community, and can’t wait to see the gains he makes over this year!

  • From New Jersey, he is a New York sports fan (Rangers & Giants)
  • Hidden talent: He’s an excellent vacation planner
  • Used to brew his own beer and loves an IPA
  • Has two kids, both are avid hockey players
  • Adamant that he can outrun Joe Paps’ police dog (hope that training has been paying off!)
