December Clients of the month…Fran, Nicole & Gary!
We are excited to announce December Clients of the Month..The Halvorsen Family🎄🏋️♀️👨👩👧
As the holiday season brings families together, we’re thrilled to honor a family that embodies togetherness and teamwork in every sense—Fran, Gary and Nicole. The Halvorsen family is our Client of the Month for December, and their journey is nothing short of inspiring!
Each Halvorsen started at Fitness Together Burlington with different goals.
Fran originally started at FTB in 2017 to create a consistent workout routine for herself. She loved to workout and wanted to stay fit and healthy. Just a couple of years ago, Fran faced a tough challenge: she had to undergo two knee replacement surgeries. For many, that would be a reason to slow down. But not Fran! She walked into the gym determined to work on strengthening her body to prepare herself for the upcoming surgeries. 💪 She knew the journey wouldn’t be easy, but with determination and the support of her trainers, she committed to the process wholeheartedly. With a customized plan focused on strengthening the muscles around her knees, improving balance, and maintaining overall fitness, Fran has made remarkable progress and went through both surgeries with no complications. Because she set herself up for success..she had a quick recovery with both knee replacements. Now, she can perform everyday tasks with ease and has zero pain. Amazing!!
Fran isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Her next goal? Fran recently joined our Nutrition Together program to focus more on her eating habits and to gain a fresh boost of energy and confidence. With the help of our nutrition coach Brianna, Fran is down 10lbs, decreased her body fat % and has lost inches everywhere. Fran is a huge inspiration and we are very proud of her hard work!! Let’s all take a page from Fran’s book this month: Show up. Stay consistent. Believe in yourself.
Gary’s story is simple but powerful. He shows up, he works hard, and he brings a positive attitude every single time. And that consistency? It’s paying off in a big way. 💪 Gary started his fitness journey with us in February of 2020..right when we switched to virtual training for a couple of months! His main goals were to increase strength, improve balance, and enhance functional movements for everyday life. Whether it was carrying groceries, navigating stairs, or simply feeling more confident…he knew these improvements would make a difference.
The combination of consistent training 2x/week and tailored workouts paid off in incredible ways. Gary has been building better balance and coordination, getting stronger and crushing personal bests (he is known in the studio for his EPIC planks!) and has significantly improved his core strength and overall cardiovascular system. What’s most inspiring is his dedication to showing up, putting in the effort, and staying positive throughout each session with a SMILE 🙂
When Nicole first started working with us in June of 2020..she had a few goals in mind. She wanted to get stronger, lose weight and inches, and stay active through having a consistent routine. And guess what? She’s been crushing it on all fronts! 💪
Nicole has made impressive progress. Week by week Nicole has built strength and felt more powerful with each session. Despite occasional flare-ups from plantar fasciitis, Nicole hasn’t let it slow her down. She’s found ways to stay active, have her trainers adjust the program when needed, and kept moving forward. Nicole’s dedication is inspiring!!! 🌟
Along with crushing her workouts, Nicole recently started to prioritize her nutrition and like Fran..is working hard in our Nutrition Together program. Through consistent effort and healthy habits, Nicole has lost a total of 16.1 pounds and 1.8% body fat since July. She has also dropped a total of 11.5 inches! Wow! Nicole isn’t done yet and we are excited to see her continue her amazing progress. 👏

- Nicole’s favorite exercises include rowing movements, ab rollouts and dumbbell romanian deadlifts
- Fran’s favorite exercises include anything upper body 🙂
- Gary enjoys challenging himself with balance exercises and planking!!
- Gary and Nicole both enjoy playing golf and collect autographs from professional golf players
- Gary enjoys researching family histories
- Everyone enjoys going out to eat in Burlington for special occasions to the Capital Grille, Eddie V’s, Tuscan Kitchen and Black & Blue.
- The family also enjoys walking outside in their spare time (especially in the warm weather).
As December’s Clients of the Month, the Halvorsens remind us that fitness isn’t just about individual progress—it’s about lifting each other up one workout at a time.
