December Client of the Month... Jayashree S!

We are excited to announce our Client of the Month for December… Jayashree S!
Jay began training with us about a year ago with some simple goals: to feel better and get stronger. She was new to strength training, but outside of the gym, is quite active; Jay enjoys running and hiking, but always felt she was limited not by her cardiovascular levels, but by the strength of her legs and core. In her words, “everything needs strength training!”.
Jay joins us twice every week for our Small Group classes. She brings a smile to every session, and is always enthusiastic about challenging herself. Quite quickly, she mastered the form of foundational movements like squats and rows. Since then, her strength has developed rapidly, and she is now using weights usually more than twice as heavy as what she began with. She always emphasizes control, and is quick to make corrections to her form when needed. We’ve been especially impressed by her commitment to warming up with cardio before her sessions, always spending time on the treadmill before her workout starts. The results have paid off in her running too, where she is now running 15 kilometers, more than she has ever done.
Jay emphasized how much she appreciates the motivation of all our trainers, and that the support she’s received is the root of her progress. Truly, we’re the ones grateful to have her as part of our FT community, and can’t wait to see her continue to grow!

- Is a vegetarian!
- Her favorite movie is (a local classic) Goodwill Hunting.
- Her favorite exercises are squats and anything that works core
- Her favorite food is ice cream.
- Recently joined a hiking club that ventures out into the mountains throughout New England.
