An Evening of Connection and Community

At Fitness Together Burlington, we’ve always believed that true strength comes from more than just what happens inside the gym. It’s about connection, compassion, and community, the kind that makes Burlington such a special place to live and work.

This past August, we had the privilege of joining local business leaders, town officials, and members of the Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) for a special evening at The Capital Grille Burlington. The event, hosted by Managing Partner Adam Mackler, brought people together to support Mission of Deeds, a Reading-based nonprofit that helps local families and individuals furnish their homes after hardship.

A night that brought purpose to the table

Mission of Deeds has been quietly changing lives for more than 30 years. Since 1993, they’ve helped furnish over 16,000 homes across Middlesex and Essex counties by providing new beds, donated furniture, and household essentials to those transitioning out of homelessness, escaping domestic violence, or simply starting over.

“The Capital Grille set the perfect stage for what Burlington does best: bringing businesses, civic leaders, and community members together,” said Brendan Stapleton, owner of Fitness Together Burlington and Chairperson of the BACC Board. “Supporting Mission of Deeds reflects our Chamber’s commitment to service and reminds us that the strength of our business community is measured by the impact we make on people’s lives.”

Events like this are a reminder that wellness isn’t just about fitness, it’s about lifting others up. Whether it’s through a workout, a fundraiser, or a simple act of kindness, every effort adds up to something bigger.
