Spinach (1 Cup): 0g Fat, 1g Carb, 1g Protein

Plums (1 Cup): 0g Fat, 19g Carbs, 1g Protein (18 sugars)

The epic battle of Veggie vs Fruit, honestly, it's not even fair. Veggie will almost always beat fruit. Fruits' greatest value is to supply quick energy. If you were waking up first thing in the morning to do a workout or any manually intensive labor, I would totally recommend fruits. However, most of our clients simply do not fit this category.

Spinach has a fantastic ratio of Carb to Protein but to get a solid 20g of Protein you'd need to eat 20 cups of it and let's be serious no one eats that much Spinach, well, maybe Popeye. Spinach is a great source of vitamin A.

Plums have a moderate amount of vitamin C but ultimately it's almost to easy to pick on Plums because of the high amount of sugar in comparison to the Spinach. To be fair, 19g of Carbs for an entire cup of fruit is actually pretty good and if we were comparing Plums to another fruit it would be in great shape.

The battle isn't so much Spinach vs Plums as it is Veggie vs Fruit and almost always the Veggie will win.

Verdict: (2) Spinach defeats (7) Fruit
