Sometimes it's hard to take in the necessary amount of nutrients in our diet. It's monotonous eating the same old "healthy" foods day in and day out. It's nice to spice up our diet and come up with healhty, nutritious snacks, that fit into our daily nutrition.
Here is a simple high protein, yet low calorie snack that you can try out (credit goes to Martin Berkhan):
1. Protein Powder (25-40g)
2. 200g Mashed berries (strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries)
3. 1.7 oz milk
Step One- Mix all ingredients in a bowl
Step Two- Use a mixer for several minutes until the mixture has "fluffed" up
Step Three- Serve and enjoy
You can also put the final product in the freezer for 30 minutes and it will have the consistency of sorbet. The total calorie content is approximately 225. Not bad for a tasty treat!!
