Stacy Adams Named Fitness Together Franchisee of the Year

Washington DC-based Adams has Excelled in Short Time as Central Georgetown Fitness Together® Owner

Highlands Ranch, Colo. (INSERT DATE) – Standing out among a group of fitness professionals requires some impressive accomplishments. For Central Georgetown Fitness Together® (FT) franchisee Stacy Adams, the list of accomplishments is long and distinguished. On May 7th at the Fitness Together® National Conference in Destin, Fla. she added another: Fitness Together® Franchisee of the Year.

Adams purchased the Central Georgetown studio in Washington, D.C. in January 2013 and immediately made an impact. Her quick success is reflected in this award, earning the brand’s top honor in just her second year of ownership. Adams, who was a manager at multiple Fitness Together® studios prior to purchasing the Georgetown location, considers FT a family, and she is proud to be a member.

“Being named Franchisee of the Year is symbolic for me.  It's a true testament on how powerful our franchise is when we all support each other’s growth,” said Adams. “The tremendous growth and development of my studio is amazing, however, the impact this success story has on the people who helped me get there and the ones who will be inspired by this is even more amazing.”

Adams continued, “From my first day with Fitness Together®, I knew that I found my passion, my purpose and my family.  I also felt, for the first time, like I had an entire team of people who not only appreciated my hard work, but believed in me.  The education and encouragement I've received through my career with FT has empowered me to hit the floor running when I purchased Georgetown.”

Since she became the owner of Fitness Together® Central Georgetown, Adams has not only been a successful studio owner and personal trainer, which is plenty to be proud of, but she’s also a philanthropist and a leader in the community. In just two years, Adams has also been showered with the following honors: Best of DC-Personal Trainer 2014 and 2015 by Washington City Paper, Best of Washington 2014 and 2015 by Washington Awards Program, Business Hall of Fame by Washington Awards Program.

“My mission in life is to inspire other people and my hope is that my story has inspired at least one person to challenge themselves to do bigger things too,” Adams stated. “Receiving this award is extremely humbling and invigorates me to drive forward and have an even bigger influence behind the FT brand and mission in 2015 and beyond.  Simply, I'm honored to receive this recognition and thank every single person who has touched my life and empowered me in even the smallest way.”

Adams was one of four franchisees to be awarded on the night. Yukon, Okla. owner Seth Humphrey earned the Mega Growth Award. Multi-unit franchisee and Fitness Together® Area Director for Ga., N.C., S.C. and Tenn. Rick Anderson earned the Innovation Award. While Alexandria, Va. owner John Alexander took home the Fast Start Award.
