G.I. Jobs profiled FT Rocky Hill owner Michael Kaman, a 15-year veteran of the Army National Guard.

"Many things I have done in the military have transferred to operating my business," said Kaman. "Having a small business requires me to put on many different hats and do all different types of jobs. My days as a combat engineer prepared me to never be afraid to try anything, get my hands dirty and learn by doing. From my time as an industry squad leader in Afghanistan, I have learned not to be afraid to take risks and make tough decisions."
