Fitness Together Top Honors Awarded at National Conference

Jun 4, 2015

Stacy Adams Earns "Franchisee of the Year"

Highlands Ranch, Colo. (June 4, 2015) – The mix of honorees for the Fitness Together® (FT) annual awards represents both the lasting power of the FT brand as well as the success that the one-on-one personal training model continues to have for its clients. Earning the awards for 2014 were: "Franchisee of the Year" Stacy Adams of Central Georgetown (D.C.); Mega Growth Award winner Seth Humphrey of Yukon (Okla.); Innovation Award winner Rick Anderson (multi-unit franchisee in N.C. and Area Director for N.C., Ga., S.C and Tenn.); and Fast Start Award winner John Alexander of Alexandria (Va.). The awards were handed out at the Fitness Together® National Conference in Destin, Fla., in May.

Adams and Alexander are both relatively new Fitness Together® franchisees, as Adams purchased the Fitness Together® Central Georgetown location in January, 2013 and Alexander the Fitness Together® Alexandria location in August, 2014. Both have grown the studios in impressive ways. While Adams is a new owner, she has been a member of the Fitness Together® family for years as a manager at multiple locations. She contributes much of her success to the power the system.

“Being named Franchisee of the Year is symbolic for me. It's a true testament on how powerful our franchise is when we all support each other’s growth,” said Adams. “The tremendous growth and development of my studio is amazing, however, the impact this success story has on the people who helped me get there and the ones who will be inspired by this is even more amazing.”

Alexander took over his studio at age 25. In six months, Alexander grew his Alexandria location more than any other Fitness Together franchisee did in one year, and took an already successful studio to a new level. He is appreciative of the honor and ready to improve on his already impressive start.

“Thank you to the FT family for all of the support to get me where I am today,” Alexander said. “I had hoped to continue the success that the Alexandria location had already established. To get this honor solidifies that. It has been a great run so far and I am excited for what we can do together in the future!”

For Anderson and Humphrey, two franchisees who have been members of the Fitness Together® family for over nine years each, the respective honor represents a culmination of sustained success that peaked in different ways in 2014. Anderson has helped create an award winning CRM platform through InfusionSoft that enabled the studios in the Charlotte area to enjoy great revenue growth. Anderson will be working with FT franchisees across the country to incorporate the software into their businesses.

“It was an honor to be recognized for this award. We’ve always had the best people in the fitness business and I’m really excited to play a role in making their lives easier by putting the power of this automation in their hands,” Anderson said. “These systems improve the quality of the client, staff and ownership experience. This can really set our franchise apart from any other in the industry.”

While Humphrey parlayed his dedication and focus into a year of 43-percent growth for a studio that was already successful. His growth in 2014 was the highest in the FT system, earning him this prestigious award. In addition to growing his business, Humphrey has realized that life balance outweighs all else.

“I set out to grow my business in 2014 to reach the $500,000 mark, and as a studio we went above that mark,” Humphrey said. “Receiving this accomplishment is very rewarding, however, finding true happiness in life is about balance. That’s something I learned while striving to grow my business as I did. Life balance is what is truly important.”

These four award recipients are among a group of 32 FT studios who earned at least $400,000 in revenue in 2014, each of which were honored for their accomplishments as well.
