For those who follow American Football the Super Bowl is less than a wee away. I am not sure where you come from but I know from experience that this a day where counting calories really isn't a high priority. Here is a Super Bowl classic with pretty good stats...check it out...

These ingredients will give you about 6 servings for you and some friends. Take all of the following ingreadients and put them in your crock pot, slow cooker, or simply a pot that you can put on the stove. Here is what you will need:

-1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

-1.25 pounds extra lean ground turkey

-1 (28 ounce) can no salt added crushed tomatoes (better yet cut some fresh tomatoes yourself)

-2 (16 oz) cans dark red kidney beans, drained

-1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained(Personally I like to wash the beans to get as much of the sodium off)

-1 package of fat free cheddar cheese

-1 package of frozen or fresh corn niblets

-1/2 medium onion, chopped

-2 tablespoons chili powder

-1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

-1/2 tablespoon garlic powder(again personally I like crushed garlic-the fresher the better)

-1 pinch ground allspice

So take all of that and put it in your slow cooker(crock pot, pot or whatever you are using). Cover and cook for 4 hours on high (or 8 hrs on low). Top with cheese after it has been slow cooked. This is super easy, minimal effort in regards to cooking it, and tastes awesome by itself, on chips, crackers, omeletes, etc...I hope everyone has a safe weekend and GO PATS!!! (I am referring to next year :( )
