So how are you staying fueled?
Having intense workouts do several things the two that we are going to look at are lose weight, and gain strength. Both are important to achieving your goals throughout the year depending on your program.
But what happens if you missed breakfast and are doing an intense weightlifting workout?
Well you can get away with it for a while but eventually it is going to catch up with you.
You would think that your body would want to burn fat after not eating and it does to a point. What also happens is that you lose lean muscle mass.
No muscle mass no intense workouts.
No intense workouts not as many calories burned during it. Which translates to putting body fat back on when you start eating again. And usually you will be binge eating to make up for the lost calories.
With out muscle mass you won't be able to give a workout your all and see the benefits of it.
And you'll feel tired, lethargic, with an increased risk of injury to top it off.
So moral of the story? Don't skip your meals.
