Why Upping Your Walking Everyday Yields Fitness Results

There are a multitude of benefits when it comes to getting 10,000 steps in each day. We all look at that number and tell ourselves there is no way we can get that many steps in each day, but it is a very achievable number.
By getting 10,000 steps each day, you will be able to lose weight, lower your risk of many different diseases, lower joint pain, increase your energy and much more! So how do we make this achievable?
- Park in the back of parking lots
- Take the stairs, no elevators
- Take a walk after dinner
- Go on a “walk break” during work (this will also give you a mental reset)
- Find a friend to go on daily walks with instead of coffee dates
- Come to the studio early or stay after and walk on the treadmill while you watch a show
- Walk up and down the steps in your house
- Invest in a walking pad to keep at your desk
- Don’t skip the commercials, walk around the house during them
- Use a fitness tracker to help motivate you to reach your goal
