Michael Kaman

Studio Owner and Personal Trainer

Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and a master’s degree in health education from Southern Connecticut State University.  He is a Connecticut certified physical education and health teacher.  Michael opened Fitness Together in 2008 and has led his team of trainers in helping hundreds of people improve their health and fitness.  Michael works hard to ensure his team of trainers is using the most up to date exercises and training philosophies.  With so many myths, gimmicks, and fad diets popping up, Michael takes pride in sorting these out to learn what is right versus wrong. 

In high school, Michael was a member of the baseball team, fencing team, and track team where he was one of the state’s top javelin throwers.  He also practiced martial arts for over 7 years.  Michael has been serving in the Army National Guard for over 19 years including a year in eastern Afghanistan.  He enjoys incorporating his military training, martial arts, and other sport specific techniques into his workouts.  He strives to push his clients further than what they believed was possible and teach them the science behind their training so they get the most out of every session.  Michael stays busy in his downtime spending time with his wife and two children.

Taylor Bidmead B.S., CPT

Manager and Personal Trainer

Taylor received her Bachelors of Science in Biology from Eastern Connecticut State University in 2013, and went on to become a Certified Personal Trainer.  She started training at the YMCA in 2016, where after a year of leading successful weight loss groups and group exercise classes was deemed a “Master Trainer” and promoted to Personal Training Coordinator eventually becoming the Health and Wellness Coordinator.  Taylor found her passion in personal training after she lost 90 pounds over a two and a half year period.  She believes she can relate to the clients she trains and inspires them to succeed at their fitness goals.

Taylor played lacrosse since 3rd grade eventually earning her varsity letter while at ECSU and was a cheerleader through college.  She also studied martial arts for 11 years, and has a passion for running.   Taylor enjoys teaching her clients “how to fish” rather than “giving them a fish” and believes the most detrimental thing to anyone’s health is believing in anything anyone else has to say about them.

Peter Argiros

Peter Argiros

Personal Trainer

Peter received his Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Psychology from The University of Connecticut in 2004.  After teaching children with pervasive developmental disorders, Peter decided to follow his passion for fitness and teaching and became a Certified Personal Trainer. In 2010, Peter trained and successfully ran the Boston Marathon.  With his newfound joy in running, he completed the 2010 Chicago Marathon and the 2011 Chicago Marathon. Peter comes to Fitness Together Rocky Hill with over 11 years of personal training experience, 8 of which came within the Fitness Together Franchise.

 

 When Peter is not in the gym, you can find him playing on 1 of 2 men’s league hockey teams or traveling with another team for Men’s league tournaments.  He also rock climbs and plays soccer in his spare time as well.
