    • Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and a master’s degree in health education from Southern Connecticut State University. He is a Connecticut certified physical education and health teacher. Since opening Fitness Together Rocky Hill in 2008, Michael has trained more than 6,000 sessions with over 600 clients ranging in age from 7 to 84.

    Michael recently retired from the Connecticut Army National Guard after 24 years of dedicated service including a year in Afghanistan and most recently working at our state’s emergency operations center coordinating COVID response efforts. In high school, Michael was a member of the baseball team, fencing team, and track team where he was one of the state’s top javelin throwers. He also practiced martial arts for over 7 years. He enjoys incorporating his military training, martial arts, and other sport specific techniques into his workouts and strives to push his clients further than what they believed they could achieve and teach them the science behind their training, so they get the most out of every session. Michael lives in Wethersfield, with his wife, son and daughter.

    • James received his Personal Trainer Certification and CPR/AED Certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine in Spring of 2023. He also attended CCSU from 2019 - 2023 where he received the 2023 Outstanding Student Researcher Award in the department of Psychological Science at CCSU for his efforts towards researching children with incarcerated parents. James graduated from Berlin High School in 2019 and has been running cross country since he was in 6th grade.

    James has a passion for running and runs almost everyday. James’ life goals are to be one of the best long distance runners on the planet and is currently working towards becoming a CT State Trooper. James enjoys running marathons, hiking, and working out. James places a huge emphasis on fitness and nutrition and believes that everyone should strive to be the best versions of themselves everyday. James believes a quote from motivational speaker David Groggins sums up his mantra well, “We all have the ability to come from nothing to something. Don’t stop when you’re tired. Stop when you’re done.” Fitness Together in Rocky Hill is proud to have James on its team!
