Turkey Trot 5K

The Turkey Trot is an increasingly popular beginner friendly race. Many families, out town visitors, kids, strollers and pets all participate in this thanksgiving holiday tradition. This program is an enhanced version designed to train you to COMPLETE a 5k. You can run or walk, but you should be prepared!

A few trips and tricks to remember for race day,

  • Pace yourself, don’t let the excitement of the crowd or runners cause you to start the race too fast. Begin at a comfortable pace for you and what your body allows!
  • Dress warm, as Thanksgiving Day is typically cold, windy, and sometimes snowy. Make sure you dress appropriately for the weather, but remember your body temperature will rise as you begin running or walking! Dress Smart!
  • Have fun with it! Wear costumes, cheer on other runners, laugh, smile! The Turkey Trot is not a qualifier for the Boston Marathon, We encourage YOU to enjoy yourself and enjoy those around you!
