A Healthy Breakfast Will Jump-Start Your Day

A Healthy Breakfast Will Jump-Start Your Day

John Holihan

How many of us wake up, jump in the shower, and run out the door to speed off to work sans breakfast? It’s hard to make time in the early AM to make a healthy meal to get out day started. Time is of the essence and in some cases, time is money for many of us, but missing out on breakfast can be a damaging to your health and in reaching your health and fitness goals.

According to The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, those who skip breakfast carry an average of 2 extra inches around their waste than those who enjoy a healthy meal to start the day.

Breakfast is an important cog in your daily life and can provide several benefits, including a boost in your metabolism, as well as lessen the creation of enzymes which key higher cholesterol.

A recent Yahoo! Health article touched on the importance of breakfast, as well as touching on several other ways to prevent weight gain and to trim up the mid-section.  Take the link below:

When it comes to your morning meal, it doesn’t have to be extravagant or something which requires a ton of prep, but oats, fruits, protein, and vitamins are all important aspects to whipping up a healthy meal to get your day started off on the right foot.

Vitamins can come from, well, vitamins; however, juices (the less sugar the better) are excellent sources as well as your typical fruits.

Enjoying a healthy serving of yogurt, particularly Greek yogurt with sprinkled oats and fruit mixed in is a quick and useful breakfast which will have an extremely positive impact on your nutrition.

So get up and get a good breakfast to help get your day started off on the right foot!
