I am Chip Gaskill. I am an attorney who lives and works in Gwinnett County, Georgia. I work out with Randy Warren at Fitness Together – John’s Creek. I have gone from being very out of shape and having achy joints to feeling strong and flexible. I feel my new fitness not just at the gym but in my everyday activities. I have also lost 25 + pounds and two dress sizes - and I now have bicep muscles!

What is your favorite part about training at Fitness Together?

the schedule is flexible, the training sessions are varied so that I don't get bored. I love the emphasis on weights because that helps to keep bones and muscles strong. I love working different muscle groups (arms, legs, core because I think that has made me more fit than just doing one exercise or activity.

Except for that one horrific 2 hour experience in college, I had never been inside a gym in my life until I walked into Fitness Together. From the day I saw the logo (1 Client, 1 Trainer, 1 Goal) on the sign I said to myself, that looks like where I need to be. Every step of the way the Fitness Together coaches have been supportive and a source of encouragement and accountability for me.

Since starting my fitness program with Fitness Together I have lost 14 inches off my waist down from a size 44 to 30, lowered my blood pressure 30 points, and melted away 50 lbs of fat!*

My original goal was to go to my first physical on my 45th birthday and not get put on blood pressure medicine. We accomplished that the first 3 months of my program.

The major differences I’ve noted are just what the Fitness Together crew told me to expect. I no longer tire easily so I have more energy throughout the day. I am now completely aware of the fact that my body never required as much food as I was stuffing into it.

I now eat healthier, I eat ‘normal food’ and I do not feel in anyway deprived. Instead, I feel like I am now eating smart – the way my body is supposed to function – and there is even plenty of overhead for the occasional cookie or donut!

Oh, one more thing. I have now completely changed out my wardrobe – twice.

I can’t say ‘Thank You’ enough to Russ, Bill and the entire Fitness Together Team and the major life change you have helped me accomplish over the past 20 months. I can’t wait to see where we are in 20 more!

When Reshma started with us, she had reached a point in her life that she no longer cared what she looked like. She was looking for a place that would help her get HEALTHY. FT was just the push and accountability I needed to reach my fitness goals! I went to 5 other fitness centers before I started at FT and the personal touch they provide is what made me realize that it was what I needed. Each of the trainers know my strengths, weaknesses, and goals which is important since I'm there 3-4 times a week. They cater to each individual who is there and the combination of 1 on 1 sessions and the PACK has helped me to reach the first set of fitness goals. I know I've still got a ways to go but the encouragement and knowledge that Misty, Russ and the team provide assure me that I'll hit them soon. I also love the community that goes in and out of those doors on a daily basis. Everyone is so encouraging and kind which motivates you especially during the PACK workouts. The trainers keep you in line but working out with the same people every once in a while gives you the extra push to keep you going. I would do anything for the people at FT. I've got to lose 9 lbs by the end of the year and know I'll be able to do it with the encouragement of the team at FT!*

After turning the big 40 and losing my mother at such a young age of 59, I decided it was time for me to get into shape. I was also diagnosed with sleep apnea the prior year so I had all the motivation in the world to change my lifestyle. I signed up for a Weight Management Program through my company, which included personal training. I had the option to choose any accredited personal training facility. After meeting Russ and his Team of fitness coaches, I was sure that Fitness Together was the right place for me. I preferred early morning sessions to start my day off completely different than I ever have before.

I worked out for 26 weeks and dropped over 50 lbs.* and have completely transformed my body and my health. I learned how to make working out fun. My trainers taught me how to eat, when to eat and what to eat in order to replenish my body and to trim the fat. The good habits I learned from the Fitness Together Team I will never forgot. Bud and I have been so pleased over the first 2 months of our exercise program! You all, especially Andrew have worked with us to identify our needs which is so important. We are in our early 80's and need to be moving well, so flexibility endurance are necessary, which you all are addressing!!

At the start of this year, I tried to get into shape on my own with little success. In June, I came across a Fitness Together flier in the mail and started working out with them at the Johns Creek location. I had some pretty aggressive goals for a 6 week period and the trainers created a custom nutritional and fitness program for me to achieve those goals. I’ve dropped several inches*, I’m stronger and most importantly, I have more energy to spend time with my 2 small children. I was so pleased with the results after my first 12 sessions, I signed up for another set of 12.

I can’t say enough good things about Fitness Together. The trainers there definitely walk the walk. It so easy to eat right and get into the gym with them showing a positive influence. FT is my oasis from the crazy world. For the hour I am there all the stress and craziness of life is gone and I get to focus solely on myself. It has afforded me the opportunity to make myself the most important thing just for a little while each week.

I enjoy the personal attention and the caring attitude of the staff. But most of all, I enjoy the sense of accomplishment at the end of each session, knowing I have been pushed, gave it my all and made it to the end.

I am not the same person I was before I joined. That person could spend endless hours on the couch, staring at the TV. That person was grumpy, tired all the time, felt 100 years old, didn’t sleep well and was very overweight. Today, I have energy to burn, sleep like a baby, have endurance, smile a lot and feel stronger than I have in years. I still have some weight to lose and am certainly not tiny. Fitness Together gave me back my once active lifestyle. Many years of a busy work schedule and thoughtless nutrition resulted in a weight gain, which made exercise a painful chore. Hi Russ,

I wanted to share with you my progress for the last seven weeks. In January I received a letter with lab results from my Endocrinologist. My cholesterol was extremely high and he wanted me to schedule an appointment to discuss intensification of my medication regime.

Since I was already taking a hand-full of medications for various issues, I was a little annoyed at possibly taking more. That’s when I finally made the call to Fitness Together. I scheduled my appointment and signed up for the 3-month, 3-day per week training. I had an appointment on March 2nd for follow-up.

I am shocked at the improvement in seven weeks. Following are my January numbers and March numbers. JANUARY Cholesterol 312 HDL – 72 – should be below 39 LDL – 216 – should be below 99 Fasting Glucose 102 – usually higher when not fasting MARCH Cholesterol 224 – dropped 88 points HDL – 59 – dropped 13 points LDL – 138 – dropped 78 points ! Fasting Glucose 95 – NORMAL ! It hasn’t been normal in years, always borderline diabetic.*

I go back to the doctor the end of April, and if it continues like the last seven weeks, then I will really be in good shape.
