New Studies Confirm Soda-Diabetes Link

• A meta-analysis found that drinking one or more 250 ml servings of soda per day raised the individual’s risk of type 2 diabetes by 18 percent. After adjusting for obesity, it raised the risk of diabetes by 13 percent
• Artificially sweetened beverages raised the risk for type 2 diabetes by 25 percent and 8 percent respectively, before and after adjusting for obesity
