Gerran Salto

Gerran Salto

Personal Trainer & Fitness Coach

  • BS in Exercise and Sport Science, Fitchburg State University
  • American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Personal Trainer

Gerran’s fitness career began as a senior in High School when he was introduced to the world of bodybuilding by a friend. He was never a particularly athletic kid and didn’t participate in any major sports. Once Gerran began seeing real, fast results from his bodybuilding efforts, his passion for fitness only grew. Shortly after switching his major in college from film/video production to Exercise and Sport Science, Gerran competed in his first bodybuilding competition in 2015 and his second in 2016.

Although Gerran’s passion for fitness was initially driven purely by selfish aesthetics, his passion soon expanded from a solely internal focus to an external focus. He began to experience the drive and passion for helping others live a better and healthier life as well. This is now his main passion: helping others.

Gerran graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science from Fitchburg State University in May 2017. He holds his current Personal Training Certification through ACSM (The American College of Sports Medicine). His training philosophy was shaped majorly by his internship at Cressey Sports Performance in early 2017 where he was able to work with some of the top strength coaches in the country, as well as with professional and amateur athletes. From there, Gerran spent some time working at a box gym but eventually realized that this type of personal training was not for him, and this is what led him to his current position at Fitness Together! Where the focus is on private, one-on-one training.

Gerran’s training philosophy is as follows: “Master the basics, stick with them, and they will take you just about anywhere.” Gerran has worked with just about every type of person from almost any demographic imaginable. From cancer survivors and the geriatric to professional athletes and the average Joe. He has experience in just about every avenue imaginable; however, his specialties are mainly fat loss, body sculpting, and strength training.

On a more personal note, Gerran loves talking about cars, music, current affairs, food, philosophy and theology! So feel free to strike up conversation any time!
