Client of the Month: John Dabrowski

We are excited to let you know that John has been nominated as our Client of the Month! The FT team recognizes your consistency and the hard work that you put into every workout, as well as the results that you've seen so far. We appreciate you!
Q: How long have you been with Fitness Together, and how often are you working out both inside and outside of the studio?
I am just shy of one year at fitness together. I have been doing three sessions a week inside the studio and do 5-6 days of cardio outside the studio.
Q: What are the results you've seen so far?
Frankly, I’ve surpassed my original goals – I had lost about 20 pounds before starting at the studio and have lost another 40-45 pounds since joining and have added muscle tone.
Q: What can you attribute mostly to your success so far? What hurdles did you have to get over in order to succeed?
Being in a good place psychologically is key. Having lost my spouse of 25 years I had two choices, either to give in to depression or continue to embrace life and all it has to offer – thereby honoring my spouse’s memory and what I know he would want for me. I chose the latter and controlling my eating (I was definitely a stress eater) and being disciplined about exercise are key. I started intermittent fasting but giving myself one “splurge” day where I could eat more than normal and not denying myself treats but controlling the quantity – these are all keys to my success.
Q: What are some of your goals with FT moving forward?
I would like to continue to add muscle tone and stay fit – I feel better at 66 than I did at 46 and 56!
Q: Anything else you would like to share with others looking to hit their goals?
Stick with it – staying fit and healthy is not selfish – it is a positive demonstration of your self-worth and I believe it makes you a happier person which gives positive energy to all those around you.
