Client of the Month: Jennifer Lancaster

Q: How long have you been with Fitness Together, and how often are you working out both inside and outside of the studio?

I've been a client of Fitness Together since October 2016. I work out with Jake 3 times per week and climb at the rock gym 1-2x per week. I also walk and bike to do most of my regular errands.

Q: What are some of the results you've seen so far?

I've seen significant improvement in my overall strength and muscle definition. Normal things like carrying groceries have gotten much easier and I'm able to climb harder grades at the rock gym. My stress level has decreased and I've gotten a confidence boost from lifting progressively heavier weights.

Q: What can you attribute mostly to your success so far? What hurdles did you have to get over in order to succeed?

I attribute much of my success to my trainer, Jake. He creates workouts tailored to my specific goals that are the perfect balance of challenging and fun. I love the sense of accomplishment I feel after every workout and I think Jake gets as excited about my progress as I do. The biggest hurdle for me was my frequent business travel. I have a job that involves up to 75% national travel so there have been several weeks when I wasn't home at all. Jake helped me stay on track by e-mailing me detailed workout plans based on the equipment in the hotel gym(s) with photos/videos of the exercises. It's so much easier to stay on track when you have a plan!

Q: What are some of your goals with FT moving forward?

Jake has incorporated powerlifting into my workouts (which I'd never done before) and I'm having a blast. My next goal is to deadlift 200lbs.

Q: Anything else you would like to share with others looking to hit their goals?
