Client of the Month: Dana Ledger

Congratulations to Dana for being nominated as Fitness Together Silver Spring's Client of the Month! Dana has been very regimented with his training program and is off to an awesome few months with FT!

Q: How long have you been with Fitness Together, and how often are you working out both inside and outside of the studio?

I joined Fitness Together in late April. I work out with a trainer three times a week and do cardio on a treadmill five times a week.

Q: What are some of the results you've seen so far?

I’ve lost weight, but the biggest, most noticeable change has been the loss of inches as I’ve lost fat and built up muscle. I’ve decreased my size from neck to thighs. My suits are much looser now.

Q: What can you attribute mostly to your success so far? What hurdles did you have to get over in order to succeed?

The routine of coming in to work with a trainer is one of the best motivations. I like having an appointment so I’m not tempted to sleep in or skip. I also don’t want to disappoint the trainer by slacking with my workouts.

The biggest hurdle is food. I eat fairly healthfully and have a lot of vegetables, but my willpower is bad with treats. Instead of cutting them out entirely, I am trying to be good at limiting them to small portions a couple of times a week.

Q: What are some of your goals with FT moving forward?

I want to continue losing weight and decreasing size. I used to enjoy running and would like to get back into it.

Q: Anything else you would like to share with others looking to hit their goals?

The training routine motivates me and keeps me going. I just stick to it as regularly as possible. Even on vacations, I try to work out as much as I can manage, and when I return, I jump right back into it. It’s too easy to fall out of the routine and revert to bad habits.
