Client of the Month - May: Sylvia Buie-Wyborski

Q: How long have you been with Fitness Together, and how often are you working out both inside and outside of the studio?

  • I've been with Fitness Together since February 2017. I work out three times a week with the FT personal trainers. On my own, I practice yoga 5-6 days a week, run/walk 2-3 days a week and take a cycling class 1-2 days a week. I have always been active and I really enjoy doing a variety of fitness activities.

Q: What are some of the results you've seen so far?

  • So far I have met my first set of goals with respect to weight loss and gaining upper body strength. I have become much stronger and notice a definite increase in muscle definition overall. This has carried over into making my other fitness activities much easier. I am extremely pleased with my results and I am looking forward to seeing more progress over the next couple of months.

Q: What can you attribute mostly to your success so far? What hurdles did you have to get over in order to succeed?

I can attribute my success so far to the fantastic trainers at Fitness Together. They provide the motivation, support and variety that I need to stick with it. While I do enjoy working out on my own at times, they provide that extra push to take you to the next level. Each day that I come to work out, I know that they will have something new and challenging for me to do. The biggest hurdle was finding time in my schedule to commit to three days a week. Setting up my training sessions on a recurring basis at the same time makes it easier for me to stay on track and I have not missed a session since February. Even when I had minor injuries, they were able to modify the workout on the fly so that it was still challenging without aggravating the injury.

Q: What are some of your goals with FT moving forward?

  • Some of my goals moving forward are continued weight loss, gaining upper body and core strength for pull-ups and increasing the amount of weight I use for barbell squats and deadlifts.

Q: Anything else you would like to share with others looking to hit their goals?

  • Set realistic goals and take it one day at a time. Eat right, commit to your training schedule and you will definitely be pleased with the results. Real and lasting results take time. The personal attention that you get at Fitness Together is phenomenal, they are truly committed to helping you reach your goals.
