Client of the Month - Jackie Frank
May 6, 2021
Our next client of the month - Jackie Frank! She has been a client since 2019, and has shown a lot of hard work and consistency over the past couple of years. Check out her story below:
Q: How long have you been with Fitness Together, and how often are you working out both inside and outside of the studio?
Last fall, I was really unhappy with my level of fitness, so I decided to start again at Fitness Together. I was a member in 2019. I had enjoyed it, but didn't keep up.
Q: What are the results you've seen so far?
The difference is incredible. I am much more fit now and I have more stamina and strength. Curls with 5lb weights were a struggle when I started. Now, I'm doing 15 and 20 lbs.
I struggled to step onto the box at first and now I am able to do it easily, with weights. I am stronger all over, and even shocked my daughter with my low squats!
I went skiing for the first time in a decade last winter and that had been one of my biggest goals.
Q: What can you attribute mostly to your success so far? What hurdles did you have to get over in order to succeed?
First, my trainers Shay and Aidan are enthusiastic about my success and change up the workouts to challenge me and keep me surprised. Everyone at FT is very supportive.
Second, consistency. This time at FT I set a schedule of two fixed days a week. Instead of looking at my calendar to see which days each week I didn't have other things to do, now I work the other activities around my FT schedule.
The first hurdle was making myself sign up. I knew promises to myself to workout at home didn't work, and I ended up dropping out of group gym classes because I didn't see progress.
Q: What are some of your goals with FT moving forward?
I want to get stronger and lose more weight. Building more muscle was important to me because I had lost so much through yo-yo dieting and working at desk jobs.
I also want to take more advantage of the cardio equipment at FT.
Q: Anything else you would like to share with others looking to hit their goals?
First, decide that it is important to you to be fit for your entire life.
Second, be consistent with your workout.
Third, challenge yourself. You can do more than you think you can.
