If you have tried low calorie diets before, only to lose weight temporarily, you are not alone.
The reason low calorie diets almost always fail is because your body doesn't have enough energy and you become burnt out. When your body doesn't have enough energy to go about your normal routine, it will find ways to move less. That coupled with the lack of proteins and fats are a recipe to lose muscle weight. Remember, muscle mass increases our metabolisms.
So, remember, if you are having a big salad for lunch to cut calories, through some protein in there! Chicken, eggs or a vegan source like tofu can all be good choices depending on your goals.
