    My hobbies include reading, travel, and hiking/biking adventures. A recent family trip to Oregon included lots of great hiking in Portland, on the coast and in the mountains. The combination of being active and enjoying time in nature is something that I deeply enjoy.

    I have learned to value experiences more so than possessions, and to invest time and money in exploring my world with friends and family.  Fitness Together has helped me to improve my overall fitness, allowing me to have the stamina and confidence to enjoy new activities.  Since I started working out, I have added more activity to weekends and vacations.  Long bike rides, hikes and exploring new parts of a a city are now regular parts of my plans. 

    I've definitely improved my ability to focus, manage stress and troubleshoot since committing to working out.  I'd also add that PACK classes have added new friend into my life.  We support each other in not only fitness. but in other aspects of life as well. I always look forward to catching up with everyone.  We encourage each other.

    What do you feel Fitness Together has helped you with the most?

    "Now that I am in my fifties I wanted to make a change to the way I was living and take my health more seriously. I want to be stronger and prevent those injuries and issues that can happen as I age and also allow me to stay in and maintain my home.     "Since coming to FT I can really see the changes in myself.  I feel stronger, my balance has improved and I have more energy.     Director of Client Experience, Lead Nutrition Coach

    Aloha! My name is Lonn Iwashita and I am originally from Honolulu, Hawaii. I recently graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa with a degree in Health and Fitness Promotion as well as received a minor in Exercise Science. I have also obtained my Personal Trainer Certification through the American Council on Exercise (ACE).

        Fitness has always been a part of my life through my involvement in a variety of sports. Through sports, I became passionate about all aspects of health as well as how the human body functions. I would always try to find out new training methods to find competitive gains to overcome any personal weaknesses. I had to find out what type of method was the most beneficial to me. From this I have learned over the years that everyone responds to health differently, both psychologically and physiologically, meaning, that there is not a set health or fitness plan that fits all people.

    I want to help guide individuals to reach their specific goals and to be the best version of himself or herself. I believe the best project you’ll ever work on is yourself. Your health is worth the investment and I believe everyone should have the opportunity to live a long and healthy life if they choose.     My name is Steve Johnson. Exercise and fitness has played a major role in my life going back to elementary school. It all started with a trip I took to Chicago, where I would spend the summer with my cousin. The usual activities were in line for grade school age boys, little league baseball, summer camp, miniature golf, etc. However, I believe it was the night my uncle took us to go see “Conan the Barbarian”, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. I went home that night and performed what seemed like 1000 push-ups and sit-ups. I was sore for days! That created a fascination in exercise and fitness which later propelled me into a high school sports career competing in football, baseball, track and wrestling. I later moved on to play football at Fork Union Military Academy with future Heisman and NFL great Eddie George. I continued my football career at James Madison University, where I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. Over the years of working at Fitness Together, I’ve worked with hundreds of clients each with their own unique set of goals and abilities. I’ve worked with adolescence as young as 10 and adults well into their 80’s with goals ranging from fat loss, increased muscle mass, general fitness or just maintaining strength and coordination, as with one client I trained with cerebral palsy. Having worked with such a vast pool of clientele, I feel I’m able to draw upon a wealth of knowledge and experience to help you achieve your fitness goals.

  • Hui Tine Hiew
    Fitness Coach - Personal Trainer

    Hi ! My name is Hiew and I'm from Malaysia. I received my degree of Kinesiology in 2019 with University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire. I was growing up with a basketball sports team when I was in high school until my college life. This is one of the reason that gave me motivation to start working out and become stronger. I started my gym life when I was 15 years old and started to gain my muscle mass because I wanted to be an explosive basketball player. During my college life in Wisconsin, I had great experiences in helping people with disabilities in their daily life to provide treatments and musculoskeletal evaluations when needed. I also participated a program called Cancer Recovery Fitness Program which educated my clients in rehabilitation and recovery exercise. My experience taught me how to maintain a safe, neat, organized environments for every client that I work with. Let's get together to be strong together and healthy together!

    Fitness Coach - Personal Trainer - Director of Social Media

    Hello! My name is McKenzie Lersch and I am a certified personal trainer with The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). I graduated with my Bachelors degree in Exercise Science from Southwest Minnesota State University in 2019 and am currently going to school at UWRF for my master's in Exercise Physiology.

    Growing up I participated in soccer and it was a huge part of my life until I graduated from high school. Needing to find another outlet for my love of being active, I started weight lifting and experimenting in the gym with different ways to challenge myself and stay healthy. Since then, my passion for understanding the science and application of exercise has expanded greatly. I am so thrilled to be able to help people understand the importance of exercise, achieve their goals, and help them live their best life!

    In my free time I enjoy hiking, reading, snowboarding, yoga, or basically anything that gets me outdoors in fresh air. Working at Fitness Together I hope to help people reach their personal goals while having fun along the way. Exercise isn’t “one size fits all” and everyone is unique! Finding a plan that is both enjoyable and fits each individual’s needs is an important part of the process.

    My name is Jeff Davies and I’m from Lino Lakes, MN. I’m a Certified Personal Trainer through the
    National Academy of Sports Medicine. I Graduated from Minnesota State University-Mankato with and
    Undergrad in Exercise Science and a Minor in Sports Medicine.
    Growing up and all the way through high school I’ve been very active playing soccer, hockey,
    snowboarding and skateboarding. Playing soccer at a very high level in the Minnesota Premier league
    has brought me all over the country for various tournaments, and 3 years in a row my team won the
    State Championship here in MN.
    My passion for exercising and working out all started my freshman year of high school. That summer
    going into 9 th grade I participated in the strength and conditioning program with my schools football
    coach. Ever since then I’ve had a love for always trying to improve myself and maintain a healthy
    lifestyle. From then on I’ve wanted to use my passion to help others lead healthier lifestyles which made
    me decide to go to school for exercise science and get into the Fitness Industry!

    Hi! My name is Breanna Cayo and I am from Minneapolis, Minnesota.  I graduated from North Hennepin Community College with an Associates of Science and a Wellness Coaching Certificate. I obtained my Personal Trainer Certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.  I am currently continuing my education as a full time student at Southwest Minnesota State University for my Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science with and anticipated graduation of May 2021.  

    Growing up I participated in dance and track & field.  In High School I joined the Weight Lifting Team where my love for fitness was sparked. Since then I have actively been working toward my own personal fitness and physic goals. 

    In my free time I enjoy staying active, whether it's  taking hikes in my neighborhood or attending a local yoga class.

My name is McKenzie Lersch and I am a certified personal trainer with The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). I graduated with my Bachelors degree in Exercise Science from Southwest Minnesota State University in 2019 and am currently going to school at UWRF for my master's in Exercise Physiology.

    Growing up I participated in soccer and it was a huge part of my life until I graduated from high school. Needing to find another outlet for my love of being active, I started weight lifting and experimenting in the gym with different ways to challenge myself and stay healthy. Since then, my passion for understanding the science and application of exercise has expanded greatly. I am so thrilled to be able to help people understand the importance of exercise, achieve their goals, and help them live their best life!

    In my free time I enjoy hiking, reading, snowboarding, yoga, or basically anything that gets me outdoors in fresh air. Working at Fitness Together I hope to help people reach their personal goals while having fun along the way. Exercise isn’t “one size fits all” and everyone is unique! Finding a plan that is both enjoyable and fits each individual’s needs is an important part of the process.

    My name is Jeff Davies and I’m from Lino Lakes, MN. I’m a Certified Personal Trainer through the
    National Academy of Sports Medicine. I Graduated from Minnesota State University-Mankato with and
    Undergrad in Exercise Science and a Minor in Sports Medicine.
    Growing up and all the way through high school I’ve been very active playing soccer, hockey,
    snowboarding and skateboarding. Playing soccer at a very high level in the Minnesota Premier league
    has brought me all over the country for various tournaments, and 3 years in a row my team won the
    State Championship here in MN.
    My passion for exercising and working out all started my freshman year of high school. That summer
    going into 9 th grade I participated in the strength and conditioning program with my schools football
    coach. Ever since then I’ve had a love for always trying to improve myself and maintain a healthy
    lifestyle. From then on I’ve wanted to use my passion to help others lead healthier lifestyles which made
    me decide to go to school for exercise science and get into the Fitness Industry!

    Hi! My name is Breanna Cayo and I am from Minneapolis, Minnesota.  I graduated from North Hennepin Community College with an Associates of Science and a Wellness Coaching Certificate. I obtained my Personal Trainer Certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.  I am currently continuing my education as a full time student at Southwest Minnesota State University for my Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science with and anticipated graduation of May 2021.  

    Growing up I participated in dance and track & field.  In High School I joined the Weight Lifting Team where my love for fitness was sparked. Since then I have actively been working toward my own personal fitness and physic goals. 

    In my free time I enjoy staying active, whether it's  taking hikes in my neighborhood or attending a local yoga class. 

    I am looking forward to meeting all of the clients at Fitness Together! My passion is to help others work toward becoming the best version of themselves.  I can't wait to work with you on all of your fitness goals!

    Aloha! My name is Lonn Iwashita and I am originally from Honolulu, Hawaii. I recently graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa with a degree in Health and Fitness Promotion as well as received a minor in Exercise Science. I have also obtained my Personal Trainer Certification through the American Council on Exercise (ACE).

        Fitness has always been a part of my life through my involvement in a variety of sports. Through sports, I became passionate about all aspects of health as well as how the human body functions. I would always try to find out new training methods to find competitive gains to overcome any personal weaknesses. I had to find out what type of method was the most beneficial to me. From this I have learned over the years that everyone responds to health differently, both psychologically and physiologically, meaning, that there is not a set health or fitness plan that fits all people.

    I want to help guide individuals to reach their specific goals and to be the best version of himself or herself. I believe the best project you’ll ever work on is yourself. Your health is worth the investment and I believe everyone should have the opportunity to live a long and healthy life if they choose.     Hi ! My name is Hiewand I'm from Malaysia. I received my degree of Kinesiology in 2019 with University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire. I was growing up with a basketball sports team when I was in high school until my college life. This is one of the reason that gave me motivation to start working out and become stronger. I started my gym life when I was 15 years old and started to gain my muscle mass because I wanted to be an explosive basketball player. During my college life in Wisconsin, I have great experience in helping with mental disability people in their daily life support to provide treatments and musculoskeletal evaluations when needed. I also participated a program call Cancer Recovery Fitness Program which educate my clients in rehabilitation and recovery exercise. My experience taught me how to maintain a safe, neat, organized environments for every client that I work with. Thus, let's get together with me to be strong together and healthy together!
