The Positivity Challenge

We live in a world where we are constantly bombarded by negativity, deadlines, to-do lists, and meetings. These are all forms of stress that we place on our bodies each and every day. Every time we stress, our bodies attempt to cope by releasing cortisol (the stress hormone). When the body releases cortisol, many unwanted things happen such as weight gain (especially around the midsection), lack of energy, the ability to fight off illness is decreased, bone and muscle mass decrease. What if I told you that you could decrease your stress, cortisol levels, and improve your overall quality of life just by changing the outlook you have on certain situations? Well indeed, you can if you follow the positivity challenge. The positivity challenge is a basic 7 day challenge in which you will think only positive thoughts. Therefore, whatever happens in your life you will see the good side of it and learn the positive things that come out of all situations. I’m not suggesting you have a mindless approach to everything that happens during your challenge, such as your car blowing up and catching on fire I wouldn’t expect you to see sunshine and rainbows. However, by the end of the 7 day challenge, you will find out how many negative thoughts or feelings have been weighing you down for years and putting a damper on your ability to live and enjoy life. You will quickly noticed how much better you feel towards life and even find yourself doing more for others you care and love. So get going on thinking positively and change your life for the better!
