    My journey with Fitness Together started back in 2012 in the Gaithersburg studio and two years in an Atlanta area studio. Managing both morning and evening shifts allows me to have opportunities to meet all the clients we serve. My career as a personal trainer led me into many endurance challenges (marathons, triathlons, duathlons and mud obstacles) that I love. Mountain cycling is a favorite now. I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience with a degree from Georgia State University in Exercise Science. I have clinical experience working in cardiac rehab, obese & orthopedic mobility mechanics. My passion is working with the amputee population. I enjoy providing support for my clients with their fitness goals utilizing education and a motivational mindset. Challenges in my career are always welcomed. I’m a Florida native from Miami (Go Dolphins!) and I love Brazilian and Cuban food.

    I like spending time with my wife and daughter. When they are not around, I mountain bike, walk, hike or watch a good movie. I’m currently learning a third language, Portuguese. A future goal is to start a new FT studio.

    Hi Folks! My name is Dan, and I am from Silver Spring, MD. My fitness and wellness journey began in high school as a means to improve my health and manage my Celiac disease. This led me to pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland, College Park. During my undergraduate program, I became a certified personal trainer for the university. I continued this career after graduation, working as an exercise boot camp instructor in Rockville, before coming to Fitness Together Gaithersburg in April of 2022. Since beginning my personal training career in 2017, I have trained over 200 clients from ages 8 to 85+, and hundreds more through group classes. The opportunities that I have had to work with and learn from such a large and diverse population solidified my life-long passion for my personal training career. My ability to improve my clients’ quality of life, longevity and function is what drives my passion and fulfillment in my career. Come train with me in the mornings as the sun rises, where I will help you add years to your life, so that you can add life to your years!

    In my personal life, I recently moved to Gaithersburg in 2022 with my girlfriend, Faith. Since moving here, we've enjoyed trying new restaurants, exploring local fairs and festivals, and walking around Bohrer Park. We also love antique stores, bookstores and playing board games with friends. All of our family is in Maryland, so our near-future goal is to settle down in the area and to eventually have some dogs and maybe even a bunny.

    Hello, my name is Mark. I am a native of Washington DC and Maryland. I did not play sports growing up; however, I was very active participating in a variety of martial arts, such as karate, kung fu and boxing. Before becoming a personal trainer, I went to school for Graphic Design and Animation at the Arts Institute of Washington. All through the years, I have worked in the fitness industry, from private personal training to facilities management. During my experience as a personal trainer, I have had the chance to work with a variety of age groups, from adolescents to seniors. My style of strength training involves a combination of body weight exercises and free weights that can either target multiple muscle groups or isolate individual muscles. My goal for my clients is to help develop their own positive relationship with fitness. A goal for myself is to continue my education in fitness and health across various age groups. You can find me in the studio during the evening.

    I like developing my ongoing web comic series and designing art for various works, including my associates' online streaming platforms. I love to watch cartoons/anime (huge fan of Goku and Spider-Man) and various combat sports like Muay Thai and MMA. I love to cook and my specialty is baked teriyaki with pineapple.     My name is Ryan, and I was born and raised in Indiana. My journey into the health and fitness field began 20 years ago when I decided to lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle. Over the course of 10 years, I lost over 100 pounds and completed a half and full marathon, including the Marine Corps Marathon! Because of all the positive experiences I had with this new lifestyle, I enrolled in George Washington University, completing a graduate degree in Exercise Science. As a graduate assistant, I trained and worked with NCAA Division I athletes in basketball, swimming, water polo, volleyball, gymnastics, and Squash. Since 2017, I’ve been involved with George Washington University as an adjunct professor in the Exercise and Nutrition Sciences department. During the same time as a professor, I trained with the over- 50 population, encouraging a healthy lifestyle at any age. Working with Fitness Together in the evening, I will be working with the best team of trainers to provide clients the best experience!

    I love to run, go on long walks with my dog, and play golf. On the weekends, if I’m not cooking or baking, there’s a good chance I’m attending live music events. I also enjoy watching college and professional sports, and my favorite teams include the Chicago Cubs, Indiana Hoosiers basketball, and Oregon Ducks Football. Looking ahead, my goal over the next year is to train and complete another running event.

    Hello, my name is Hannah and I’m originally from Phoenix, AZ. I’ve had an array of different jobs, from teaching English in Japan, to being a scuba diver that led me to be a shark safety instructor. However, my true passion is nutrition and fitness! I grew up doing competitive swimming and martial arts. I attended Arizona State University and earned my Bachelor's degree in Dietetics. This led me to become a certified personal trainer so that I could help my clients become strong and stay functional throughout their entire life. I love motivating people in the morning into developing new healthy exercise habits. I enjoy talking about nutrition and inspiring others to make healthy choices so that they can fuel their bodies for a life-long wellness lifestyle.     Hello, my name is Chris! I am originally from Baltimore, MD. I have lived in Maryland my entire life, and I went to college at Salisbury University. My Fitness Together journey began in January 2017. When I was hired as a personal trainer at FT Silver Spring; I was immediately hooked! Throughout my FT career, I have held the Personal Trainer & Manager positions, and I knew I wanted to become an Owner, so I made that the goal. Over the last few years, that goal has come to fruition. In December 2021, I purchased the Fitness Together Gaithersburg studio with my business partner, Clark, and we reopened the studio in January 2022. Currently, I am in the midst of opening a brand new Fitness Together studio in Columbia, MD that will open in December 2024. Throughout my week, I am spending a lot of time in the Gaithersburg and Columbia areas so my schedule varies, you can find me either in the morning or evening hours at either studio!

    Spend time with my family and friends, which includes my nephews and nieces! Some of my hobbies include CrossFit, listening to podcasts, and finding new trails to go on walks either in the woods or by the water. Being from Baltimore, I am a very proud Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens fan. Every year, during the baseball season and football season, I make it a priority to attend plenty of the home games to cheer on the home team! My long-term goals and aspirations include buying a boat to spend more time on the water, and one day, I would love to meet the Baltimore Ravens legend, Ray Lewis!

    Hi! My name is Clark, and I am from Hamilton, New Jersey and am the co-owner of Fitness Together Gaithersburg, as well as the owner of Fitness Together in Silver Spring. I went to school at Rutgers University in New Jersey and got my degree in Criminal Justice, but quickly fell in love with the world of Fitness and got into personal training. My Fitness Together journey started as a personal trainer in the FT Alexandria, VA location in 2014. I always knew I wanted to own a business, and when I found FT, I immediately fell in love and wanted to become a studio owner. I am such a believer in Fitness Together that in January of 2022, my business partner and I, Christopher LaVeck, became owners of the Gaithersburg location, and we absolutely love it here! You can find me here week to week on Tuesdays either in the morning or the afternoon/early evening. My goals for the future include opening additional Fitness Together Locations in the nearby area!

    Spend time with my wife Amy, and doggo, Dakota. I am also an avid fisher and enjoy anything having to do with the outdoors. I'm also a gear-head - I've built many different project cars, trucks and motorcycles, as well as built engines for racing. Outside of the studio, I am also serve on various FT committees on the corporate level, including the Employee to Entrepreneur Committee which focuses on helping coaches grow into studio ownership positions themselves.
