Debbie joined the FT family back in mid December and has been dedicated since starting her fitness journey. Debbie came looking for professional guidance to help improve her general health and fitness with loosing weight and reducing stress as her main two targets. She committed to doing 2 sessions a week consisting of one 1:1 and one PACK session.
Since starting back in December, Debbie has never late cancelled an appointment showing proof of her dedication. Early March she had her first reassessment to track her progress. Within the first 3 months of her journey Debbie has shown phenomenal results.She has dropped a total of 7 pounds, decreased her body fat by 3 percent, and has lost inches from head to toe.* She has also decreased her exercising heart rate, nearly doubled her push up and sit up test numbers, and increase her flexibility by over 3 inches.*
Her success is due to the dedication she has by attending her sessions with a POSITIVE attitude, giving 110% in all her sessions with a SMILE, taking the professional nutrition advice from her trainers, and staying after to do cardio!

Christie started her 2013 off by choosing FT to help achieve her health and fitness goals. She came wanting to increase her general fitness, gain knowledge about nutrition, and have the self discipline to stick to goals.
Since starting Fitness Together, Christie has had two great reassessments.Her first one showed a decrease in her overall weight, decrease inches around her hips, and lower body fat percentage.* Within the following six weeks, Christie worked her best during all her FT sessions, did cardio on her off days, and kept track of her nutrition.* Her most recent assessment in April shows decrease inches around her waist and thighs, a decrease in body fat percentage, and most importantly she has improved her exercise heart rate and flexibility.*
Since day one Christie has shown her dedication by attention 3 1:1 sessions per week and never late canceling any session. She comes into FT with a smile and attitude ready to work! Heather joined the Fitness Together family back in January 2013 with a determined mind to help get her health back on track. She attends three 1:1 personal training sessions a week, writes and brings in her food journal, stays for cardio after each session, and does cardio on her FT off days!
Her hard work and dedication has shined through in her recent assessment. She has decreased her body circumferences as well as her body fat percentage. Heather has dropped roughly 6 pounds of fat and gained 3 pounds of muscle.* As well has decreasing her body fat percentage by roughly 4%!*
Not only do her numbers reflect her success, so does her attitude. She feels better, pushes herself each session, has a positive attitude, and has a great time doing it all! Heather is on the right track to have much more success and we are all excited to watch her achieve each of her goals!

Hi, my name is Marion and I want to share my story with you. If you are like I used to be and you feel like you are struggling with your weight loss and fitness efforts, you have to try Fitness Together!

All my life I have struggled with my weight. I was at at my heaviest point in 2004 but after losing nearly 50 lbs on my own through proper nutrition, I hit a plateau. Then in March of 2009, I was diagnosed with Stage One Lymphoma and had to undergo chemotherapy and radiation treatments. I thought the bright spot would be at least with cancer I would lose weight! Well, the joke was on me. I didn’t lose anything; in fact I gained a few pounds and there was nothing I could do about it Thank goodness though; I came through my treatments cancer free. So, at the start of 2010 I decided I had been given my life back and it was time for me take control. I couldn’t control whether or not I got my cancer back but I can control my weight. This was very important to me since statistics show that obese people have a higher incidence of cancer. I didn’t want to fall into this category any longer. I had to make a change. That’s when I decided that I needed the help of a professional.

I was introduced to Fitness Together at East Cobb by a friend who had great success with them. From my initial meeting with Katie I knew that this was what I was looking for. She was very patient and really understood what I was struggling with and she made feel at ease from the start. I thought I would be embarrassed because I wasn’t in very good shape but everyone at FT really made me feel like I could do it. Each and every member of the FT team has been sincere, supportive, and so knowledgeable. I can honestly say I couldn’t have made it this far without them. I owe them a great deal!

I have lost over 40 pounds and reduced my body fat by 10.3%!* I have learned so much, made friends, and had so much fun in the process. In February of 2008 I made a phone call that truly changed my life. It was to Fitness Together. At the time, I was working for a weight loss company. I was so busy helping others get healthy that I had forgotten about me. I noticed that my blood pressure was getting higher and I was experiencing pain in my hips and knees whenever I would walk. A light bulb finally went on! I knew that I would not be able to enjoy my future if I didn't take care of myself now.

Even though I live right around the corner, I had never thought of going to Fitness Together for help but my son met one of the owners, Mike, and they got to talking. Next thing I knew, my son was trying to talk me into going to FT and he wouldn't shut up until I went! I met with the other owner, Katie, and I knew right away that they were totally different than any place else. The main thing that I took away from my initial meeting with Katie is how genuine of a person she was. I told her about what I wanted to achieve and she told me how that was going to be done.I had a few objections but she resolved all of them. I decided to put my future health in the hands of the trainers at Fitness Together.

Since the day I joined, I have consistently worked out 3-4 days per week and have increased my cardio activity to 6 days a week. I have lost 22 lbs. of fat, 7% body fat, and dropped 2 dress sizes!* My trainers (and it's fabulous, you get more than just one!) are so encouraging and ALWAYS have positive attitudes. I am sure that there are no other workout centers that have such a high caliber of trainers working under the same roof as FT does.

There is one other thing. In July of 2009 I joined the statistics and became unemployed. Decisions had to be made on how our family was going to cut back on expenses. One expense that we talked about cutting out was my training sessions. Luckily we rethought that and came up with other ways to cut back. I knew that I could live without certain things but to stay healthy physically, mentally and emotionally, I simply could not live without my workouts at Fitness Together.

I've had many health habits in the past 10 years, some healthy and some not so healthy. I've always believed in the saying "Eat Less and Move More" when it comes to weight management but I never understood "how much less" or "how much more" to get to my goals.

I came to Fitness Together wanting to regain my physique after suffering from back surgery due to a herniated disc. After having surgery I had to "makeover" my exercise routine because I needed to ensure that I didn't hurt my back again. For over a year I tried to get back into the shape I was in before my surgery and then I had a simple accident and broke my elbow. I felt pretty defeated because doctors told me I would be unable to use my arm for 2-3 months and it would be 6-12 months before it would feel normal again. I would not accept that so I decided to take control of my health and get some help.

I called Fitness Together and met with one of the owners, Katie. After our meeting I felt confident that I could get back to where I wanted to be and rehab my injuries at the same time. They created a program that would rehabilitate my elbow and strengthen my back, all the while losing weight and getting me back into the shape. I finally felt like I had a good plan to move forward.

The results - In 3 months with FT, I am back to doing full push-ups and pull-ups. My elbow is as strong as it was before the break, my core is stronger, my back is healthier and I lost 6 lbs of fat and decreased my body fat by 3% - these were all things that I had been trying to do for a year and half on my own.*

And the best part is that I feel I can sustain this way of life because they educated me on how to keep this up on my own - how to eat right and work out efficiently and effectively. FT is very innovative, accommodating and knowledgeable in all aspects of fitness. Without their support I would still be struggling with my arm and back, not knowing how to ensure a safe but effective fitness routine.

My name is Doug Belew and here is my Fitness Together story.

My wife, Katie and I became empty nesters in 2007. Throughout our married life, I have been on a roller coaster of fitness levels. I changed jobs about five years ago and began traveling on a weekly basis. My weight gradually increased every year, and I ballooned to a high of a 202 lbs! Not good for a guy of 5’8”.

Katie kept pushing me to get a trainer to jump start my fitness routine again, and I kept putting it off. Finally she took action and gave my cell phone number to Katie and Mike Warechowski at Fitness Together in East Cobb. There was no way out. I now had two Katies working on me. I made my first appointment, and the process has changed my life.

Even with my travel schedule, I am able to get in 3 days a week for training sessions and fit in cardio training at the hotel when I’m out of town. The workouts are very effective and certainly can not compare to a group workout or what I was able to do on my own. I have lost 35 lbs* to date and hope to shed at least 10 more pounds. Katie and Mike are passionate about helping clients achieve their fitness goals. Katie W. even sends out diet tips and great recipes to help with the food variety. My energy level is fantastic, and now I can join my Katie on 7 mile runs again.

Bottom line, you make time for what is important. When the alternative may be a sedentary life style of medication and medical bills, the investment in Fitness Together is truly the best return on your money.

At the beginning of 2010 I received the opportunity to try Fitness Together for a week with no real pressure or commitment involved. In fact, I live more than 20 miles from the studio so I wasn’t sure Fitness Together would even be the right fit for me. But I gave it a try and boy, was I impressed! After my trial week, I knew that this was the place I wanted to invest my time and money into.

You see, I had been overweight and out of shape for several years as I fell into poor eating and lazy exercise habits. It would be easy to blame it on work and travel, but I learned that the reality is, you can be busy and in shape. It just takes a little education, dedication, and effort. Fitness Together provided the education but what really made the difference for me is that the trainers at Fitness Together provided the proper guidance to ensure that my effort and dedication stayed on-track. The best part about Fitness Together and what made our partnership a success is the people. By working one-on-one with a few different trainers, they really get to know you - how and when to push you and what is going to work best for you as an individual. They were always available to help via email or phone when I have a question and they would even “prescribe” workout routines for me when I would be away for a week on business. That would allow me to keep up with my routine while I was gone so I didn’t lose any ground. The trainers at Fitness Together were so good at educating me that when I was on my own, I knew what I needed to do and how to push myself. Fitness Together worked around my travel schedule and helped me stay on track while at home and on the road. I found motivation to work out on my own – whenever and wherever I could.

With the help of Katie, Mike, Steven and Kallie, I lost 30 pounds and lowered my body fat from 22.5% to 13%!* The trainers at Fitness Together not only work you hard and educate you but they really care about you. They are professional and friendly but they’re also tough and motivating. They will do whatever they can to help you succeed. I can say with certainty that Fitness Together is the best place to invest your time and money.

At 235 pounds, you can't do a lot of things. You can't fit into an airline seat comfortably; You can't walk up a flight of stairs without getting winded; You can't shop for clothes in regular stores; And you can't help feeling like everyone is looking at you because you're fat. But, you can do something about it.

At my heaviest, I weighed 235 pounds and wore a size 22-24. I was miserable and unhappy. I developed high blood pressure, and began feeling "weird" heart palpitations. I knew I needed to do something. Over the course of three years I lost 50 pounds through diet alone.* After staying at that plateau for four years, I needed something more- exercise and a healthy eating program. But even 50 pounds lighter, I was still too embarrassed about the way I looked to go to a gym, and a severe ankle injury had me concerned about causing further injury.

A personal trainer was the way to go- just me and my trainer. No one to pass judgment; just someone who truly cares. FT provided me with a safe, comfortable environment. The trainers are awesome- Always providing encouragement while pushing you to do your best. I no longer worry about my ankle- My trainer is always right there with me. The FT program works.

The bottom line: After working out here for 2 ½ months, I have lost 20.6 pounds,* 16.25 inches and still counting!* I feel great and look forward to my workouts! I now have the foundation and determination for a healthy lifestyle. So, if you want to lose weight and get in shape and you want to do it right, don't make excuses. Quit telling yourself you don't have the time or money because you can't put a price on being happy and feeling good.
