I have owned the studio since December 2018 but started with Fitness Together Barrington as an intern while at the University of Rhode Island. It was during my internship with Fitness Together that I was immediately drawn to the culture of the studio and the relationships built between the team of trainers and clients. After graduating with my degree in 2010, I took a permanent position starting my career in the fitness industry. My journey as an intern, personal trainer, hockey coach, and personal training manager prepared me for the role I took on as an owner. To me, the studio represents more than a place for burning calories and building muscle. I see the studio as a place where there are opportunities to inspire others, be a support system, promote positive self body image, help clients find their voice, embrace their abilities, and reach their highest potential. I am committed to creating an environment in which clients see and feel this as well!

My interest in fitness started many years ago when I was a client of a fitness trainer, who helped me to lose over 100 pounds and start living a healthier lifestyle. I knew then, that I wanted to help others to feel the way that I did about health and fitness. Over the years with Fitness Together, I have had the opportunity to work with many clients, of various ages and abilities, as well as varying experience with exercise. I enjoy helping all of our clients realize their fitness potential and find a healthier lifestyle for themselves.

I have always had a passion for exercise. I always gravitated towards the training and conditioning aspect of sports. I graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2008. In my studies I observed and interned at various Physical Therapy Offices in the Rhode Island Area. My primary internship was with the URI Strength and Conditioning Department. There we went through sports programming (Strength Training, Conditioning, Injury Prevention, Post-Rehab Conditioning e.t.c.). I was given an opportunity to work at Fitness Together Barrington in July of 2008 and it truly was a blessing to me. We get to work with a diverse array of clients in a friendly non-intimidating environment. FT has allowed me to expand my mind with concepts of training that were not necessarily introduced in the formal class and even clinical observation settings. I have found that FT Barrington has allowed me to grow as a trainer and also as an adult while at the same time being a very supportive arm for life's transitions. I couldn’t be happier to work with The East Bay Community.

Personal fitness has always been a big part of my life, it started in high school when I became an athlete. Fitness continued to be an integral part of my life as I continued as an NCAA Division 1 athlete at the University of Maine. While competing at such a high level I learned a lot about my body and how important development is, but also recovery. Throughout my years of competing, I learned many techniques from coaches and teammates alike and was able to build off those ideals to create the coach I am today. I enjoy helping my clients find that balance between development and recovery to help them be the healthiest and happiest version of themselves.

Personal fitness has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up I was always playing sports, specifically soccer, which I played for over 10 years. My true passion for fitness started when I attended the University of New England for my undergraduate degree. I was one of the captains of the men's rugby team, and it was then that I truly discovered my passion for the gym. When the pandemic started, I went on my own personal weight loss journey, where I was able to lose over 30 pounds. I have never felt better both physically and mentally since, and I knew that I wanted to help other people feel good, and reach their physical potential. Shortly after graduating I decided to fully commit to the fitness industry and get my certification. I can’t wait to help my clients achieve their goals and have them be as healthy as possible.

My passion for nutrition grew out of my own journey to fitness and health. With a Master's in Education from Roger Williams University and ten years of experience as an elementary teacher, I bring a nurturing approach to coaching. Just like in the classroom, I strive to foster a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where clients feel empowered to take risks and achieve their goals. Through my practice, I aim to inspire others to prioritize self-care and achieve lasting health improvements. Let’s work together to achieve your healthiest self, one step at a time!
