Brian Hossink

Owner

“I did not like the way I looked. I didn’t like my small, scrawny body. I tried changes in my diet and exercise, but nothing worked – or I would just give up. Finally one day a friend challenged me to stop ‘tinkering’ with changes and make a serious plan for fitness. Together we did. With his help and accountability in twelve weeks I surpassed all my goals. I have learned, and believe, the human body is totally transformable. My life has not been the same since this experience. In fact, this personal success has put me on the course to where I am today; passionately helping others achieve their fitness dreams.”

Brian was a 2002 winner in the National Body-For-Life competition. Since getting his before and after photos published in a magazine, people have contacted him from all over the country seeking help, and motivation for making changes in their own lives. Now he is pleased to be able to help Lansing area residents with the one-on-one attention that is needed to see dramatic results.

Ashley Hudson

Fitness Consultant

Ashley completed her Kinesiology degree at Michigan State University. Through her time at MSU and participation on the Women's Club Volleyball team, Ashley has found her passion – helping people. Now, as a personal trainer at Fitness Together, Ashley helps people achieve their fitness goals and accomplish objectives they couldn't reach on their own. Though she has "always known" her future would involve helping people, she never believed it would be so fulfilling.

Ashley's background in sport and exercise, coupled with her love for the field of Kinesiology, has shaped her plans for the future, as well. Her desire is to build on her NASM certification by getting a performance enhancement. Additionally, Ashley would one day like to become a registered nurse to continue in her passion of helping people.

Mike McDonald

Fitness Consultant

After starting sports at an early age, Mike’s activities tapered off by high school and he weighed as much as 230 pounds. At the age of sixteen he met with a trainer and spent an extensive amount of time learning how to get back into shape. Now weighing a fit 160, Mike competes in a wide variety of sports including competitive powerlifting and various martial arts.

Mike is wrapping up his degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University. While moving toward graduation, he acquired his Certified Personal Trainer certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He began training in a public gym and is excited about the move to Fitness Together so he can give the one-on-one attention clients deserve. Mike is also studying to become a registered dietitian to complement his personal training. He hopes all three areas of study will further his ability to help people reach their fitness goals.
