Multi-Vitamins and Supplements!
I just read a great book called "Ultra-Prevention" and just when I thought I knew everything, I learned something new!
I always thought that multi-vitamins were unnecessary if you were eating a diet full of fruits and veggies. Well, I was wrong again. The soil that our food is grown in today is not of the same quality as it once was. Long story short, a lot of our food is missing key nutrients that give us optimal health. If you are someone that works out at a more advanced level, multi-vitamins may be even more important for you.
How about dietary supplements like protein shakes? Do you really need them? Well no, you do not, but you also don't need almost anything we use today. Dietary supplements are a great way to give your body what it needs in a convenient way. I know that if I am rushing from a workout to work, I do not have the time to cook up some chicken and broccoli. Supplements are an option that mainly offer the benefit of convenience.
