Getting the results you want does not have to be as hard as you may think. Here are a few tips that I abide by to get the most out of my personal routines.
Understand why you are doing what you are doing. The more you understand an exercise, the more likely you will be to do it because you will start to look at it differently.
Make sure your routine is efficient! Build your routine around exercises that target large muscle groups. You can get nice looking arms without ever doing a bicep curl or tricep extension by using upper body push and pull movements.
Eat some carbohydrates and protein after your workout. I am a huge fan of low carb diets for people trying to lose fat fast because they work every single time, however, the carbs you do decide to eat can be eaten after a workout to help muscle recovery.
