James Albrycht


        James has spent his entire life in the town of Glastonbury. He graduated from Glastonbury High School in 2000 where he was the captain of the football team. He continued on to play all throughout college and through this experience he learned a lot about how to physically mold his body. After college he returned to his home town where he began to share his experience with young athletes through sports training.

        In 2007 he began a career at Whole Foods in town where he learned a great deal about nutrition and how the physical aspects of life are only a small part of staying healthy. A good diet is just as important if not more important than any workout.

        After 10 years at Whole Foods he decided to combine his experiences into one strategy. Being able to help as many people as possible meet their goals of being happy. Fitness Together gave him the opportunity he needed to use all of his knowledge in one place and share it with others. The programs used here truly work and James has dedicated himself to helping others become the best version of themselves.

Lead Trainer

Jesse graduated from UMass Lowell in 2017 with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and is a NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).  Jesse grew up in Colchester, CT and first gained interest in strength training in high school where he began training with the wrestling team, which he later joined.  Around the same time, Jesse also gained a passion for fitness through the outdoors while in Boy Scouts, eventually attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.  

While in school, Jesse gained experience by volunteering and working with physical therapists as a PT Aide.  Jesse discovered his passion for personal training while interning at a gym where trainers worked alongside Physical Therapists to help create a long-term training program for injury reduction and lasting health.  Populations that he’s worked with in these roles have included post-surgery, post-Physical Therapy, geriatric and neuromuscular disorders.  

After graduating and obtaining his certification, Jesse joined the Fitness Together team in Belmont, MA.  While there, his passion for training clients from a variety of backgrounds grew.  His approach includes melding traditional “big lift” style strength training with increasing movement competence via mobility drills, yoga and emphasis on mind-body connection.  Jesse is excited to bring his knowledge of training and programming for people of all backgrounds and experience levels to the Glastonbury area.  

Outside of strength training, Jesse enjoys keeping active with hiking, climbing, camping and yoga practice but also jamming out to music, reading, and watching movies.
