Staying Motivated in the Winter

Feb 12, 2016

Do our long Michigan winters keep you from achieving your fitness goals? Are you less motivated when the temperatures drop? Is your energy lacking from all the gray, snowy days? Below are a few tips that might help you to beat the winter blues and stay on track with your fitness goals.

  1. Crank up the music! Loud, upbeat music helps to boost energy; and dancing is a great way to burn calories.
  2. Open the blinds! Lack of sunshine means lack of energy. Any bit of sunshine should be able to shine through your windows, so open the blinds and let the sun in.
  3. Phone a friend! Having an accountability partner is one of the best ways to stay motivated and keep up with a consistent workout regimen, in cold weather and in warm weather.

Schedule a complimentary fit evaluation so we can get to know you and your goals and build you a customized training program to reach them.
