Read What Fitness can do for You!!

I bet everyone of you that has done personal training at some point have wonder what goes through your trainer's mind when they are "torturing" you. Well, guess what I know that answer and it can be summed up in one word....RESULTS. A good trainer/ facility should always be focused on RESULTS. Those who enter our facility should be seen as a reflection of our commitment to you and your goals. In the long run you should ....you guessed it....get RESULTS! Well the story I have for you to read is more about not just our commitment to our clients but more about one woman's commitment to herself. We all know we can lead a horse to water but rather it drinks it will be ultimately up to the horse. Well this woman drank all the water and finished off with a can whoop a**!!
As a working mother with two small children and a successful career, I had a long list of excuses for why I did not exercise nor eat well. I was tipping the scale at 287 and my doctor repeatedly suggested gastric bypass, which was not an option for me. I decided it was time to get control of myself and my "Fit before 40" journey began. I was ready to start exercising, but had no idea where to begin. That's when I met Troy at Fitness Together. I committed to pack classes 3 days a week and ran the Couch to 5k program 3 days a week. I was hooked from the first week and day by day with Troy's help, my eating habits improved and I started using MyFitnessPal to track how and what I eat. That was 10 months and 26 days ago, and I have lost 103 pounds and more importantly, have adopted a healthy lifestyle and feel great! No more excuses, just results! After my family, exercise is the next priority and I have learned to build it into my day and look forward to it. Two weeks after my 40th birthday this year I will run a half marathon. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I could do that. The trainers and other clients at Fitness Together are so supportive (not to mention fun!), and they hold you accountable; together with their help you can achieve your goals. I will forever be grateful for everything Troy and FT have done for me. An FT client for life!
You red that right...103 lbs in 10 months?? What an outstanding of an accomplishment! So the next time you see Joy give her a high five and tell her congrats on something so few people get to do! We applaud her for the effort and dedication it has taken and we look forward to her next goal of a half marathon and running the Tuna 200 with here family here at FT!
