Client of the Month - Blanche Shelton

Hitting a plateau can be one of the most challenging obstacles to overcome on a weight loss journey. Blanche hit that wall midway through 2016 and it required her and the trainers to return to the drawing board to devise a plan of action. With the help of her trainers and a determined mindset, Blanche was able to push through the plateau and has been losing weight every week for a consistent basis now! Read below to see what her secret to success was!

“It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to consistently meet my weight loss goals. Early in the year I lost 10 pounds, but then was stuck there for months. It was very discouraging. Sean was always encouraging though, and he really emphasized you have to keep trying and tweaking your routine to figure out what works for you. It’s certainly different for each person! Finally in the last few months, it seems I’ve hit the right combination of strength training twice a week, cardio training 4 days a week, eating in for dinner at least 4 times a week, and drinking LOTS (80-100 oz/day) of water! I’ve lost another 13 pounds, and am working hard on a couple more to make it a nice 25 pound loss for 2016.

Changing my food tracking habits helped too. I could track pretty well during the week, but just got tired of it by the weekend. That’s where the biggest issues were though, and where I really needed to be even more mindful of what I ate. So I started tracking only on the weekends and sharing the results, and for me that’s been a big help.
