What was your reason for starting at Fitness Together?
I had been neglecting fitness for several years now, and I knew I needed professional help to get back into shape. With my job change, I decided it was also time to make a change in my personal life and find a trainer.
What Has Fitness Together helped you with most?
Fitness Together has completely changed my lifestyle for the better. I'm eating better, exercising every day, and (working towards) sleeping better. I can feel myself becoming stronger and healthier.
How do you think you have most improved since working with Fitness Together?
I feel much stronger and more positive about my body. I can see the improvement across fitness assessments, and it's super encouraging. My family and friends have also noticed and complimented me on my progress.
How has Fitness Together helped you with your nutrition?
I'm much more conscious about macronutrients and picking healthier things to eat without having to do a crazy diet. I've also shared these tips with my parents, and they have become more aware of what they eat as well (in particular, the importance of getting enough protein).
What do you like the most about the staff or atmosphere?
Everyone is super encouraging and welcoming. I have a tendency to feel overly self-conscious, but the staff make it easy to overcome that.
Do you have any funny or inspiring tales of Fitness Together antics?
I was on vacation for at least a month, visiting my parents in another state. Joe wrote me 2 home workouts to do during that time period. I did a home workout every other day and did cardio on the elliptical on the off days. The home workouts were challenging, and I was afraid that I was going to lose some of the progress I had made. When I got back, I was surprised to see that I had maintained my fitness level. I was able to lift the same weights that I had lifted prior to my vacation. My fitness assessment also showed improvement in many areas. Now that I'm back full-time, I'm looking forward to seeing the results of my next fitness assessment.
