Shaun’s targeted soft tissue manipulation and therapeutic rehabilitative services are a major factor in assisting athletes and clients alike in getting back on their feet after everything from major injuries and surgeries to simple strains and pulled muscles.  His extensive background in the fitness and athletic industry gives him keen insight into how to get fit, get stronger, and meet your goals, whatever they may be.

Shaun's extensive training background runs the gamut from elementary school children to collegiate athletes all the way up to professional NFL players and track & field athletes.  He thrives on the challenge of how to get his clients to their goals, finding the right path and way for each of them and meeting them where they are in their fitness journey and showing them the way.  He has worked with adults with disabilities, the elderly and those working through injury as well as  the elite athlete who wants to take his or her training to the next level.

As a strength athlete himself, Shaun loves to work with both beginners and advanced lifters working on both prime and Olympic lifts.

Matt Schaaf BS, NASM

Personal Trainer

Matt holds a degree in Exercise Science from Souther Illinois University.  He is also certified as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor from the National Association of Sports Medicine. While still in college Matt, interned with athletes ranging from the elementary level all the way up to the professional level. He helped them increase their strength, endurance, agility, power, and quickness by using a unique routine built for each athlete. After college Matt worked as a trainer for 2 years doing one on one training and group training. While doing this he worked with clients ranging from 12 to 90 years of age and athletes to people who could barely walk. He helped these clients reach their goals for 2 years before coming here to FT.

Matt got into training because he loved to help people better their lives physically and mentally. When a client reaches their goals and strive to make themselves even better is the best thing you can see as a trainer. Another reason Matt got into training was because he blew out his knee at a young age while running in track and always had chronic knee pain after that. After going to college and learning about training he trained himself and fix his knee problems and just kept going from there.
