This November, James Fabich, a personal trainer with Fitness Together Norwell, MA is competing in the World's Toughest Mudder, a 24 hour obstacle course mud race in Lake Las Vegas, Nevada.
In preparation, James will complete 10 Tough Mudders from July - October, 2016 throughout the Northeast.
Breaking Barriers: James is passionate about motivating others to do things they thought weren't possible. Through fitness, James was able to fight his own demons to get healthy and strong. Today, his passion and purpose in life is to help others overcome adversity.
Building a Stronger Community: The opiate epidemic touches all of us and James' goal for the community is to raise awareness for this problem - taking it out of the closet and into the street.
Bay State Community Services (BSCS) has been serving residents of the greater South Shore area for more than 45 years. They offer 79 programs across 19 locations. All of their services are designed to address substance use disorders and behavioral health needs by providing an array of comprehensive services including: outpatient, prevention and intervention, criminal justice, home based, day treatment and residential services.
The Bay State Bridge Fund: BSCS established the Bay State Bridge Fund to allow them, in emergency situations, to reach out to individuals participating in their services and assist them with immediate critical needs which may include things like food, services and narcan. This helps the individuals to shift their focus back to their family and the services they require. BSCS is joining with the family, understanding and respecting their situation, and addressing the most pressing concerns that may be keeping them from participating in essential services.
How You Can Help:? Join James and our company, Fitness Together in Norwell and Westborough MA, as we raise money and awareness to combat the community-wide drug problem. Your donations are tax deductible and will go to Bay State Community Service's Bridge Fund to help people in need. http://bit.ly/toughertogether
