I am thrilled that I made the decision to join Fitness Together, Northborough. Since starting my program, I have shed 11 lbs and 3% body fat in just 6 weeks and certainly like myself a lot better than I did before!* To be honest, prior to starting a program, I had become very lazy and really didn’t “think “about what I ate, nor did I read (or understand) nutrition labels, understand portion control and of course used every excuse in the book not to work out (busy, tired, hungry, etc). I am so thankful that the trainers, Nick and Garrett (Jonathan early on), are there to guide, coach, assist and cheer me on every step of the way toward the fitness goals I have put in place. In this short time, I am seeing great rewards with these phenomenal trainers, such as a smaller waist and inches in my shoulders, arms and legs, better tone/definition in my muscles, more energy and what I am most happy about is the much improved (and needed ) lung endurance. The trainer’s time, passion, interest in me and dedication is reflected in each and every session – if I succeed, then they succeed, and they really get excited for you! These two guys give me the drive, passion and motivation that I never had and I wouldn’t be where I am right now, if it wasn’t for them. I am really enjoying my sessions at FT and look forward to them each and every week. By having an appointment to work out 3 times a week, it keeps me focused and in a routine. Believe it or not, they also make the session fun – yes the abs/crunches and leg exercises, all of it. Don’t get me wrong, still very hard work but when you are enjoying it, you get a lot more out if it!
One of the trainers now has me running sprints on the treadmill – something I never thought I’d see myself doing since I was never much of a runner in my younger days, nor did I think I had lungs & legs to do it, but I do!! This speaks volumes to the work and planning that goes into each one of their clients sessions. Every step of the way, Nick and Garrett are right behind me cheering me on and simply there is no other feeling quite like that!
Another trainer told me I had the drive and determination to eventually become a client of the month someday. At that time, I thought he was completely out of his mind but something in me “kicked in” full force - - I wanted to see myself succeed so I put in the time and all the work, not to mention I am super competitive, so that helped too! :)
In my 9 weeks with Fitness Together, they have provided me with all the tools (cardio routine, nutrition guidelines/program and weight training) that I need to stay on track and steer the course with my personal fitness goals. Thanks to Nick and Garrett, I am in the best shape of my life! I have recently extended my initial fitness package for more sessions. I am truly addicted! Am hoping in the next few weeks I find out that I lost another 11 pounds and increase my cardio to 60 minutes before the month ends! My new stress relief now is doing cardio instead of eating chocolate or drinking wine, which is a complete 360! I am on a roll, and have not missed one single day of cardio since I started this program in March as I try to get in at least 35-45 minutes of cardio exercise during the nights I don’t train at Fitness Together.
