Valentine’s Day is another day where you don’t have to try hard to indulge yourself. If you’re looking for something that will keep you active, here are some ideas.
Dance the Night Away
Dancing has all of the qualifications for a wonderful Valentine’s Day date. It’s active, romantic, and most importantly it’s fun. You'll definitely get a workout.
Like dancing this is another romantic, yet active date idea. You can lace up your skates and show off your moves or if you don’t have moves, enjoy a good laugh. Either way, it will get your heart rate going and promises to be a fun date.
Take a Fitness Class
Turn up the heat in and break a sweat together. Take a fitness class together, whether it’s a personal class or a small group session. Help motivate each other in accomplishing your fitness goals. Your local Fitness Together can help you with this date.
Take a Hike
Hopefully you won’t be saying that to your date. Getting out in nature and going on a romantic hike is a great way to get the blood flowing.
Put on your Running Shoes
You could sign up for a Valentine’s Day Race. You could enter your first 5k together or both look to PR. A race of any length is a fun challenge.
This Valentine’s, rather than packing on the calories while sitting around watching romantic movies, get active. If you’re more of a romantic, maybe dancing and skating are something you and your Valentine might like. If you’re up for a challenge, maybe the race idea or a fitness or personal training session is right for you. Regardless, get active and have fun this Valentine’s Day!
