Lose weight on a fat bike
For years, cyclists begrudgingly stored their mountain bikes after winter’s first serious snowfall. Or they installed their bikes on wind-trainers, pedaling to nowhere. Fat bikes change that paradigm.
“Fat biking is a great way to ward off the winter blues,” said Chelmsford’s Barry Moore. “The exceptional scenery and fresh air is good for the body and soul.”
John Stanwood, owner of Woody’s Cyclery in Middleton, said fat bike sales continue to increase, “and there are more and more group rides going out around Boston.”
