Winter Outdoor Workouts: Don't let the Winter slow you down!!

Naturally, living in Northeast Ohio, it’s harder to find ways to enjoy the outdoors during the winter months. But there are still things you can do to stay active and enjoy the outdoors!

Cross Country Skiing:

Cross Country Skiing is a great way to get active in the snow. Many golf courses allow cross country skiers to enjoy their beautiful landscape during the winter months. And all of those paved hike and bike trails you enjoy in the summer are also great places to cross country ski when it snows! Cross Country skiing is not that hard and anyone can learn; just check out a youtube video and see if it appeals to you!


Biking is an activity most of us do not consider in the winter. And for good reason! Who wants to attempt biking in the ice and snow? How safe can that be? Well check out some fat tire bikes! These bikes have tires that are made to roll over any winter conditions. You may not be able to go as fast on a fat tire bike in the snow but it’s a pretty cool experience that beats stationary bikes!

Ice Skating:

Ice skating is often viewed as something for kids and young couples on their first date. But it’s a fun way to get off the couch and keep moving! Take the whole family ice skating this winter!


There are so many awesome parks within driving distance that have some amazing hiking paths. Just because it’s not 70 degrees and sunny doesn’t mean it’s not a good time to hike. Even though going out in the cold doesn’t always sound appealing, you’ll love breathing some fresh, crisp cold air while enjoying nature’s beauty!
