It is hard to believe that spring break is almost here. No matter your plans, it is important that you don’t forget about your fitness and take a break from your workout routine. Before your trip, ask your Fitness Together trainer to help find a workout routine that you can do while on vacation. Here are some things you can do to help you stay in the right mind frame.
Make Time for Your Workout Routine
Check ahead to make sure your hotel has a fitness center. If it does, make sure that you use it. If it does not, plan a workout in your room. Pack resistance bands, work on your abs or do some push-ups.
Take a Walk or Run
Obviously on vacation you are there to relax, but it’s important to make sure that you get in some cardio while on vacation. Make the time to schedule a run or a walk each day, get it done early. If it does not fit to do it by yourself, make it a point to walk as much as you can. Walk to your destinations rather than taking a car, bus or train.
Pick Your Splurge Meal
You are on vacation, we get it, you are going to indulge yourself. That’s okay, but be careful not to overindulge. One recommendation would be to plan your “splurge meal.” Perhaps you eat healthy for breakfast and lunch, and then splurge on dinner. This allows you to be on vacation while maintaining your healthy diet.
